RNP+ BRAZIL PRINCIPLE LETTER
National Net of People Living with HIV/AIDS


• Reaching Area:
RNP+ Brazil embraces all national territory, willing to mobilize and aiming at the integration of the people living with HIV/AIDS.

• Goals:
RNP+ Brazil is a national organization of people living with HIV/AIDS, with no political or religious strings, committed to forwarding strengths to people with positive answer to HIV, no matter the gender, sexual appeal, credo, race or color and nationality.

• Philosophical Principle:
RNP+ intends to render to people living with HIV/AIDS the chance to come across, to take posture in facing the positive condition, to prepare tactics through which the person’s attitude is unfold, fighting isolation and inactivity, promoting the exchange of information and experience, enhancing the quality of life of those living with HIV/AIDS, through;
• Exchange of personal experience, information, skills and essential resources to establish, maintain and enhance the quality of life of those living with HIV/AIDS;
• Supplement the technical, financial and human resources to enable those living with HIV/AIDS to avoid: fear, lack of information, discrimination and prejudices that they face in their lives;
• Strengthening the people infected with HIV in order to actively participate in the process of opposing contempt of their citizenship rights;
• Stimulation, through all means, to form groups for mutual help, by capacitating, by implementing and by developing new leaderships all over the country, aiming at the share of experiences, of ideas, and the integration of projects for those living with HIV/AIDS;
• Establishing opportunities so that claims from people living with HIV/AIDS may be heard in the municipal, state, national and international levels;
• Denunciation by all possible means of actions, be it governmental, individual, religious entrepreneurial, or others, that may affront the human, civil, sexual and reproductive rights of the people living with HIV/AIDS;
• Strengthening of the people living with HIV/AIDS to participate in the building up process, be it municipal, regional, national or international, stimulating knowledge through information, training and qualification, aiming at their participation in the instances of social control;
• Advance in forming parliamental fronts, widening the fight in defense of the rights of people living with HIV/AIDS in cities, states and country, at the legislative, executive and judiciary powers;
• Furtherance at the public power, the private initiative, or the civil society for the continuous campaigns of information and preventions of HIV/AIDS in municipal, state, regional, national and international levels.

• Priorities:
RNP+ Brazil priorities are:
• Defense of the human rights of the people living with HIV/AIDS;
• Creation of people living with HIV/AIDS’ cores, supporting them in the formation of groups for mutual help;
• To take into effect local, municipal, state, regional, national or international gatherings;
• Institutional support: RNP+ Brazil may authorize the use of its name and logo and be represented by the people living with HIV/AIDS, supporting their initiative and resolutions, since they are faithful to the principles of this letter and since they are registered members within the cores of people living with HIV/AIDS, strictly recognized and approved through either local, municipal, state, regional or national levels.

• Association/Representation/Confidentiality:
Any person with positive answer to the HIV virus may be part of the RNP+ Brazil as long as he/she will follow the principles of this letter and is subscribed in one of the net’s cores. Participating members in meetings may be eligible to his/hers respective representation, committee and working groups that may be needed to execute the in view RNP+ Brazil’s programs, as long as he/she is qualified and take on his/hers positive condition outward.

He/she may still be elected, even though absent, as long as he/she presents due justification for the absence and is being represented by another member through private and notarized procurement. The confidentiality and the privacy in regards to the RNP+ Brazil members’ positive answer to HIV will be assured by itself, unless the person provides written and notarized authorization to break the secrecy, or assert it publicly.
